State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman issued the following statement encouraging the public to participate in next week’s webinar on the SC Department of Education’s development of South Carolina’s Consolidated State Plan, in connection with the implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Action (ESSA).

“I encourage all stakeholders to participate in this important virtual meeting, as we develop South Carolina’s Consolidated State Plan,” said Spearman. 

“This meeting will enable parents, teachers, community organizations and others to learn more about the implementation of ESSA.  I encourage all members of the media and the public to join this free webinar and share feedback with us on how to improve education in our state so that we can incorporate these ideals into South Carolina’s Consolidated State Plan.” concluded Spearman.
