Superintendent Spearman Announces Teacher Advisory Council

Columbia, S.C. – State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman recently formed a Teacher Advisory Council to provide feedback from a teacher’s perspective on education in South Carolina’s classrooms. 

“This group consists of Teachers of the Year, Milken Award winners, and others who are leaders in their field,” said Spearman. “These teachers are in South Carolina’s classrooms every day and know firsthand the challenges and opportunities that our students face. With their insight and experience, we can take public education in South Carolina to the next level,” concluded Spearman, who plans to form a Parent Advisory Council later this spring.
