SCDE Conducting Teacher Survey

On March 21, 2016, we issued a memo that that we were conducting regional focus groups to gather feedback about the revisions to the March 2015 Expanded ADEPT/PADEPP Evaluation Guidelines.

The SCDE Office of Educator Effectiveness, in conjunction with the Southeast Comprehensive Center, a regional branch of American Institutes of Research (AIR), recently completed the collection of the focus group feedback.  Focus group participation was limited to a select few; therefore, to provide an opportunity for additional South Carolina educators to provide feedback, a survey is now available and open to Institutions of Higher Education staff, district office personnel, school leaders, and classroom teachers. Survey and focus group data will be used conjunctively to develop a comprehensive report to help inform future educator evaluation decisions in South Carolina.
