American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics
The Foundation has established a Classroom Grant program specifically for use by AIAA Educator Associates. If you are a K-12 teacher interested in the development or application of science, mathematics, and technology within your educational curriculum, you may qualify for a grant of up to $200 per individual request to supplement your learning program. Each school is limited to up to $1,000 per calendar year. Use your grant for classroom demonstration kits, classroom science supplies, or other materials to enhance the teaching-and learning-of science, mathematics, and related technology. Toyota USA Foundation
For over a decade Toyota USA Foundation has been working with 501(c)3 organizations to fund K-12 education programs; especially in the areas of mathematics and science. Currently the Foundation provides $1.9 million a year to support innovative math and science programs. The Foundation is committed to improving the quality of K-12 education by supporting innovative programs that improve the teaching and learning of mathematics and science. Applying organizations must be financially sound and are required to complete the Toyota USA Foundation Application. The Toyota USA Foundation reviews applications continually and does not have deadlines.K-12 public and private schools may not directly apply to the Foundation (but may be the recipient of an independent nonprofit agency's funding request).

Mathematics and Environmental Sciences

America Honda Foundation
We believe that children come first and we strive to give them a fresh start through the organizations, programs and projects we fund. With these ideals in mind, we began the Foundation in 1984 as part of our 25th anniversary in the U.S. It was our way of saying "thank you" to the American people for their support over the years. Since then we have helped further many of our nation's youth-oriented programs. Honda has been able to financially support educational and minority programs, non-profit organizations, and many other worthwhile causes whose mission is to advance and educate the youth of our country. Applications are reviewed quarterly, and the deadlines for submission are November 1, February 1, May 1, and August 1 each year.

Math, Science, and Technology

Dow Chemical Company
Our goal is to improve the quality of education for kindergarten through 12th grade in North America in math, science and technology. We identify and support national, state/provincial and local programs that return the most value to our communities and have the potential to provide a continuing source of qualified graduates to fill career opportunities at Dow. Each year The Dow Chemical Company supports many school districts/school boards and efforts in and around communities in which Dow is located. With hundreds of requests from deserving programs, it presents difficult choices for those making the allocations. Because resources are limited, Dow has established general priority areas for K-12 education funding, including: Math and Science, Teacher Training, and Parental Involvement. Oracle
Oracle considers each completed and signed application received. Successful applications provide all information requested and demonstrate tangibly and specifically how Oracle's support furthers the mission of the organization. Most of Oracle's grants are in the five to ten thousand dollar range. Annual deadlines for application are June 1 and December 1.

Meteorology

NWA Sol Hirsch Education Fund Grants
National Weather Association.  The $500 grants are awarded annually to teachers in grades K-12 to help improve the education of their students in meteorology.  The teachers selected will be able to use the funds to take an accredited course in atmospheric sciences, attend a relevant workshop or conference, or purchase scientific materials or equipment for the classroom.  Deadline for application is August 1 each year.

Music Education

ASCAP Foundation Grant
The ASCAP Foundation was established in 1975 and is a publicly supported charitable organization dedicated to supporting American music creators and encouraging their development through music education and talent development programs. Included in these are songwriting workshops, scholarships, awards and recognition programs, public service projects for senior composers and lyricists, and providing grants to other 501(c)(3) organizations engaged in educational programs for aspiring songwriters and composers. Please visit our web site for information on current ASCAP Foundation programs . Deadline for submission is October 15 each year. The ASCAP Foundation Board of Directors review grant applications once a year. To be considered for a 2004 ASCAP Foundation grant you must complete The ASCAP Foundation Grant Application form and submit the requested documents to The ASCAP Foundation.

Camry Music Education Fund
In an effort to raise money for at-risk music education programs across America, Toyota established the Camry Music Education Fund. The fund generated over $170,000 to help music programs that are in jeopardy due to lack of funding. The money from the Fund was given to MENC to distribute through the Fund for the Advancement of Music Education (FAME). Schools clearly in danger of losing their music programs or currently unable to provide students with adequate music programs due to a lack of resources and that serve a population of students in which at least 50 percent are living in poverty or are eligible for the free or reduced lunch program are eligible. Contact funder for deadline details.

Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation
Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation supports music education and its many benefits through the donation and repair of musical instruments to underserved schools, community music programs, and individual students nationwide through three separate initiatives. Applications are accepted throughout the year for all three grant opportunities.

" The Melody Program " targets qualified K-12 school music programs in need of assistance."The Special Projects Program" targets community schools of the arts, after school programs and youth orchestras in need of assistance. Our program funds instrument repair and the acquisition of new instruments. We DO NOT give cash grants. There are no deadlines for applications.

The Mockingbird Foundation, Inc. ("Mockingbird") offers competitive grants to schools and nonprofit organizations that effect improvements in areas of importance to the Phish fan community.
