School Report Card Metrics Professional Development Series

SCDE is hosting a series of virtual accountability and school report card professional development sessions for the second half of the 2025-26 school year. The focus of these sessions is improving data quality around key metrics and data points related to the school report cards. These data points include cohorts, on-track status, graduation rate, college and career readiness, and students not tested. The professional development series is geared towards district leaders.

Each session will:

  • Improve general understanding of a specific accountability-related metric
  • Ensure districts know what needs to be coded for a specific metric as well as when, where, and how it needs to be coded for accountability purposes
  • Demonstrate processes districts should use to check their data related to that metric and determine what data SCDE has received
  • Review steps districts should take when potential errors in that metric are identified
  • Help districts identify next steps to ensure data quality

To ensure maximum participation, each session is being offered twice. Links to Teams meetings will be shared at least one week prior to the scheduled meetings. Links are sent to DEIMS listed designees for: District Accountability Coordinators, PowerSchool IT Contacts, Testing Coordinators, and Assessment Proxies.
