Financial Literacy: In accordance with the Financial Literacy Trust Act, S.C. Code §59-29-410, financial literacy instruction shall be incorporated within current courses throughout the state to increase the knowledge of personal finance and investments among all school students.

Standards: This website contains the South Carolina Social Studies Academic Standards.

Instructional Resources: Instructional resources for teaching social studies in SC are located here. This includes course Alignment Guides and instructional resources for African-American history, the James Edwards Civics Education requirements, American history, Civil Rights oral histories, and document-based questions.

Professional Learning Opportunities: The Office of Standards and Learning from the South Carolina Department of Education provides professional learning for social studies teachers.
