Dr. Trevor T. Ivey serves on the South Carolina State Board of Education, representing the Third Judicial Circuit, which includes Clarendon, Lee, Sumter, and Williamsburg counties. He is the Co-Founder of Liberty STEAM Charter School and serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Liberty STEAM Charter School Foundation.

With more than 20 years of experience in public education, Dr. Ivey has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, district administrator, and charter school leader, dedicating his career to supporting students and families in Title I communities. As Liberty STEAM’s founding school leader, he helped grow the organization into one of South Carolina’s fastest-growing public charter school networks.

A National Board Certified Teacher, Dr. Ivey was named Sumter School District Teacher of the Year in 2012 and was a Top Five Finalist for South Carolina Teacher of the Year in 2013. He holds degrees in education and educational leadership, including graduate study at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
