Sample Documents and Templates for Proposal Writing

  • Sample Cover Letter Language (DOC, 35kb - 9/25/15)—Template that can be used when applying for funding.
  • Sample Abstracts and Project Summaries (DOCX, 16kb - 9-25-15)—Samples of the type of information that may be required in the proposed project’s abstract or summary. Most abstracts or summaries are one page long and the Request for Proposals (RFP) will direct what information must be included.
  • Bio paragraphs (DOCX, 15kb - 9-25-15)—Sample paragraphs presenting key personnel for a proposed project/program. Such paragraphs may be required for the management section of a proposal and the information required is usually outlined in the RFP.
  • Sample Memoranda of Understanding (DOC, 488kb - 9/25/15)—Three MOUs between the SCDE and other entities used for showing collaboration and agreements for supporting and participating in a proposed grant funded project.
