The Office of Educator Effectiveness and Leadership Development offers a variety of professional learning programs, trainings, and resources. Classes are free.
SCTS 4.0 Evaluator Training
SCTS 4.0 Evaluator training is required for any educator serving on a teacher evaluation team. This training prepares attendees to objectively evaluate classroom lessons and includes resources and strategies for successfully collecting data from teachers and students. This training will prepare attendees to take and pass the certification exam required to become a certified SCTS 4.0 evaluator.

SCTS 4.0 Train-the-Trainer
SCTS 4.0 Train-the-Trainer training is for participants already trained as evaluators. Current trained trainers do not need to retrain. This session is required for certified evaluators who will serve on the district training team. It focuses specifically on building the capacity of training teams to implement thoughtfully and to train evaluators and teachers in the SCTS 4.0 rubric. District recommendation is required to participate in this training.

ADEPT Coordinator 101 Training
ADEPT Coordinator 101 is designed for new district ADEPT coordinators and current coordinators who would like a refresher. The morning session will provide an overview of contract levels and certification, the Expanded ADEPT evaluation cycle, and SCLead.org for new coordinators. The afternoon session is for current coordinators who would like a refresher and assistance in SCLead.org.

Special Areas Manager Training
ADEPT for Special Areas 2020 Special Areas Manager training is required for district leaders to implement the new special areas evaluation instrument. The training will equip district leaders to enroll district evaluators in online training, to understand the evaluation instruments, and to implement a transition plan.
If you are currently serving as your district's Special Areas Manager and wish to have a refresher before the new academic year, you are welcome to register or view the previous training record located under the Special Areas tab on the Educator Effectiveness webpage.

2024-25 Virtual Office Hours
The Effectiveness Virtual Office Hours are usually held on the first Wednesday of the month from 2:00–3:00 p.m. The Virtual Office Hours provides district support with teacher and principal evaluation implementation, the use of SCLead.org and the professional learning library, time to collaborate on issues of recruitment, retention, and development, as well as the opportunity for the audience to connect with each other and ask questions.
