Operation Identification in Full Effect: The Consolidated Enrollment Survey

Identification is an imperative first step to increasing access to educational opportunities and providing appropriate services and wrap-around support for migratory students, multilingual learners, immigrant children and youth, and those experiencing homelessness. This session will provide participants with important information about the newly developed, consolidated Enrollment Survey (ES) that must be embedded in all districts’ enrollment processes, including online registration, beginning with the 2022-23 school year. Participants will also receive valuable resources to guide the effective implementation of the ES.

Building the Bridge Between Strategic Plans and Federal Programs – Part 1

This session will review the required elements in the district strategic and school renewal plans and will also give participants ideas for how to elevate their plans to a more meaningful level. Although the new electronic grants management system (GovGrants) is currently in development, this presentation will begin to explore the connection between the traditional state plan requirements with various federal applications, thus making the step towards the One Plan more real.
While the requirements of Maintenance of Effort and Comparability have not changed, districts are facing increasingly difficult challenges meeting these requirements because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This session will review these challenges and share updates and recommendations to assist districts in achieving compliance with these two necessary aspects of grants management.
