You are invited to participate in a statewide teacher recruitment initiative called TEACH South Carolina (TeachSC). This initiative, funded by The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE), is committed to elevating the perception of the teaching profession and is designed to increase the South Carolina teacher pipeline's quantity, quality, and diversity through collaboration with education institutions, government agencies, associations, community organization, and nonprofit stakeholders. The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) announces the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 2024 Summer Reading Camp (SRC) Community Partnership Grant (CPG) under Proviso 1.56 of the General Appropriations Act is now available online. Approximately $700,000 in funding will be distributed on a competitive basis. The deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m., February 7, 2024.

The Office of Assessment and Standards is excited to announce locations and dates for the Winter 2024 Physical Education Regional Series. This free, face-to-face professional learning opportunity will focus on using the TARGET (Task, Authority, Rewards, Grouping, Evaluation, Time) structure with the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Physical Education Standards 2021.
