Title: Assessment 101 for ELA Teachers
- Audience: 3-12 ELA Teachers, Coaches, and Administrators
- Session Length: 1.5 hours
- Description: Assessment 101 provides a brief overview of the different types and purposes of assessments, the data each assessment provides, how South Carolina state assessments are developed, and the role of South Carolina educators in developing our state’s summative assessments.

- Description: This session utilizes the Vertical Progression in the 2024 SC CCR ELA Standards for effective K-12 planning and instruction.

Title: Using The Assessment Specifications to Support Classroom Instruction
- Audience: 3rd Grade-English 2 ELA Teachers, Coaches, and Administrators
- Session Length: One 3-hour session or Full Day Option
- Description: This session will help teachers learn how to utilize the Assessment Specifications documents to enhance classroom questioning for formative and classroom summative assessments.

Title: The Power of Formative Feedback in Writing
- Audience: 3rd Grade- English 2 ELA Teachers and Coaches
- Session Length: One 3-hour session or Full Day Option
- Description: This session will help teachers provide feedback for revision in student writing. Teachers will use the Formative Single-Point Rubrics for Argument Writing to guide their feedback.
- Prerequisite: Before the session date, teachers will be provided with an opinion/argumentative writing prompt and asked to collect student samples of writing. The student samples will be used during the session.
