The International Baccalaureate Program (IB) is one that aims to develop inquiring, knowledgable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
The International Baccalaureate Program is offered in four "programmes" or formats:
- The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), for students aged 3 to 12, focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside.
- The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), for students aged 11 to 16, provides a framework of academic challenge that encourages students to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world, and become critical and reflective thinkers.
- The IB Diploma Programme (DP), for students aged 16-19, is an academically challenging and balanced programme of education with final examinations that prepares students for success at university and beyond.
- IB Career-related Programme (CP), for students aged 16-19, is the newest offering from the IB. The CP incorporates the vision and educational principles of the IB Programmes into a unique offering specifically designed for students who wish to engage in career-related learning.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
