The Palmetto Math Project (PMP) was conceived out of an instructional need state-wide to increase mathematical achievement to reach the statewide goal of 75% meets/exceeds in math by 2030. The PMP will target underperforming schools via on-site coaching, training, and access to high-quality instructional materials. Underperforming schools defined as: 50% or more of students scoring in Does Not Meet category on SC READY math assessment in the 5th and/or 8th grade.
Palmetto Math Project schools will receive focused support in the following areas: quality Tier I instruction, support using high quality instructional materials, professional learning on the 2025 SCCCR Mathematics Standards and mathematical best practices, and support with high-dose tutoring.
