2022–23 Migrant Education Program Subgrant Application

Description

The U.S. Department of Education (USED) provides a Migrant Education Program (MEP) formula grant to the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) to establish and improve education programs for migratory children and youth. For this funding round, the SCDE’s 2022–23 MEP will provide subgrants to local organizational agencies (LOAs) to establish and improve education programs for migratory children based on previously identified and served migratory students.

Eligible Applicants

An eligible LOA is a local educational agency (LEA) or public or private agency that demonstrates the ability and capacity to manage a program that will serve all eligible migratory children and youth for the proposed service area. In some cases, two or more LEAs or other entities may partner to form an LOA.

$200,000

Funding Detail

Award amounts will depend on the number of migratory children to be served.
