School Scores

SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities Test Scores on The ACT®

Notes:

1) These statistics may differ from those in state and federal accountability results. They were calculated for all students tested who were in their third year of high school. Home school students were excluded from the calculations.

2) If the number tested is less than 10, no other statistics appear.

3) Two achievement levels exist for the ACT: Ready and Not Ready.

4) All scale scores are reported on a 1-36 scale.

5)
The South Carolina Department of Education is no longer using meals status to identify Students in Poverty (SIP). At this time, the values for these students are marked TBD (To Be Determined).

More information about the test can be found here.

Descriptions of Achievement Levels:

Two achievement levels are identified for The ACT®: Ready and Not Ready. These achievement levels are based on ACT's College Readiness Benchmark Scores. Students that meet or exceed the benchmark score are "Ready;" those below the benchmark are "Not Ready." A student scoring at the benchmark has approximately a 50% chance of receiving a grade of "B" or better and a 75% chance of receiving a "C" or better in the corresponding introductory college course.

The ACT Composite Score is the average of the ACT English, Mathematics, Reading and Science scores. The Composite Score is reported on a 1-36 scale. There are no benchmarks for composite scores reported below or for the Writing test. For more information, contact ACT, Inc.
