Aid to Districts

Prior to disbursing funds for Aid to Districts, the SCDE shall direct these funds to meet estimated maintenance of effort for IDEA. The SCDE has for several years been in litigation with the U.S. Department of Education concerning IDEA maintenance of state financial support and recently reached agreement in principle on a settlement.  This settlement would require the use of the Aid to District funds.
