Ed-Fi Integration
Group 1
Districts in Group 1: You did a great job integrating last week! Now that you are integrated with Ed-Fi, please remember to continue weekly to (a) redownload the top two categories in your Ed-Fi publishing dashboard and then (b) redownload all categories so that you can monitor your errors. Also, stay up-to-date on State Reporting versions.
Group 2
Districts in Group 2 integrate this week, and we recommend getting started today if you haven’t already begun!
Reminders to assist you with your Ed-Fi integration:
Step 1: Ensure that the district PowerSchool instance is updated to the latest State Reporting version.
Step 2: Locate the credentials (key, secret, and API URL) for the appropriate year in your Sharefile account.

Step 3: Set up an Ed-Fi profile for the year.
Step 4: Connect to the district Ed-Fi ODS through the API.
Step 5: Download Descriptors and State Courses from the Ed-Fi ODS.
Step 6: Complete Ed-Fi Code Set Mapping in PowerSchool BEFORE publishing data.
Note: If you find that the Code Set Mappings are confusing, as you await our regional workshop trainings in November, you can either (a) go ahead and try your best to select accurate mappings so that the data related to these have a place to land or (b) just skip them for now and move forward with your data publishing (option “b” will yield more errors).
Step 7: Publish data to the year’s Ed-Fi ODS for the first time (i.e. complete an initial data “push”).
