Ed-Fi Error Monitoring and Resolution
Weekly Monitoring All districts have successfully published data to their Ed-Fi ODS! From this point, district PowerSchool administrators should remember to stay up-to-date on State Reporting releases and to take the following steps weekly:
Redownload the top two categories in your Ed-Fi publishing dashboard each week in case there are updates (descriptors and state courses).
Republish each category one at a time from the top of the dashboard (for “On-Demand Data” categories, select the parameter for publishing changes).
Monitor your data publishing by noting which categories have errors and dependencies.
Steps Toward Error Resolution It is not expected that districts are able to resolve all errors at this point in time; however, district PowerSchool administrators are asked to take the following proactive steps to begin learning how to deal confidently with Ed-Fi publishing errors:
Register for tomorrow’s October ORDA Office Hour if you haven’t already! In this office hour, the Data Collection Team will begin to share basic information about Ed-Fi publishing errors and will provide an overview of the Ed-Fi Regional Workshop agenda.
Register for an Ed-Fi Regional Workshop if you haven’t already! Most districts in South Carolina have already registered at least one staff member, but a few still have not! This workshop will be invaluable to building confidence with error-resolution.
