Get ready for Ed-Fi!
Are you starting to think about Ed-Fi for 2022-23? Don’t worry – we haven’t rolled out the onboarding schedule yet.
However, you can ensure that your district is as close to “ready” as possible by staying up to date on State Reporting Releases.
At minimum, you’ll need to be on
State Reporting Version 22.6.2.2 to be able to connect to your district Ed-Fi ODS when the time comes. Go ahead and check your State Reporting Version as a first step, and then stay tuned for our 2022-23 Ed-Fi rollout schedule!

Reminders
Student Information System (SIS) Data Submissions
- VC3 is coordinating initial SIS Data Submissions this year, and we are close to finished (should be open for submission updates soon).
Start of Year (SOY) PowerSchool Initializations
- Remember to execute SOY PowerSchool Initializations. Reach out if you have questions: PowerSchool@ed.sc.gov
PowerSchool Support Case Escalations
- The Data Collection Team is happy to escalate PowerSchool support cases if needed. We ask that you first create a support case before reaching out to us for an escalation, however, so that you can immediately provide us with the case number. Once you have your support case number, you can reach out to PowerSchool@ed.sc.gov if you believe an escalation is needed.
Supported Versions of PowerSchool SIS
- Per established practice, effective August 15, 2022, supported versions of PowerSchool SIS will include:
- PowerSchool SIS 22.x
- PowerSchool SIS 21.11.1 or later
- Customers on earlier versions of PowerSchool SIS are reminded to upgrade their system to the minimum version of 21.11.1 by August 15, 2022.
After August 15, 2022, PowerSchool will not provide software updates to PowerSchool SIS 21.4.5.x and lower. State and provincial reporting updates on PowerSchool SIS 21.4.5.x and lower will also be discontinued. The PowerSchool technology and support teams will be focused solely on supporting PowerSchool SIS 21.11.1 and later versions.
Customers with active support contracts through August 15, 2022, will continue to receive support for PowerSchool SIS 21.4.5.x and lower until this date. PowerSchool is committed to providing the highest level of support during this time.
