Personal Pathways To Success and EEDA
The Education and Economic Development Act (EEDA) was signed into law in September 2005 and aims to give South Carolina students the tools they need to build prosperous, successful futures.
The EEDA creates Personal Pathways to Success -- high academic standards combined with more opportunities to learn real-life skills. The result will be a better labor force for business and a better economy for South Carolina.
The key components are:
- Boosting academic excellence
- Keeping at-risk students in school
- Life planning and counseling
- Regional Education Centers
- Personal Pathways to Success -- what it is, how it works
