Technology Services

Mission

The mission of Technology Services is to provide technical support to the school districts in South Carolina for state provided software applications, striving to keep the district technology personnel aware of the data needs of the various programs within the South Carolina Department of Education. Technology Services provides maintenance, updates, and enhancements to existing systems to service the needs of the South Carolina Department of Education and South Carolina school districts.

This support includes, but is not limited to:

  • maintaining statewide installations of student Information system software;
  • providing help desk services for multiple software systems and Web-based systems to school and district level personnel;
  • administering training programs for statewide software applications to include school and district level software users;
  • identifying and collecting data from school districts for departmental, state, and federal reporting requirements; and
  • maintaining communication to school districts on issues related to current software installations and statewide data collection needs.
